PEACOCK PREVIEW
Emmy Rossum Leads The Lineup, Queer As Folk +

Well, it’s time for another streaming platform. Comcast (NBC) will launch Peacock, its one-stop-shop for new and old content. The streamer boasts three tiers: a free version with next-day viewing options and restricted content, a $4.99 option with access to all content but with commercials, and a $9.99 option for commercial-free. Both of the top tiers will include live sports and early access to late-night shows. But it’s not just curating old shows — it will feature new content with our favorite stars. Check out some of those below:
ANGELYNE
You’ve never seen Emmy Rossum like this. The Shameless star gets all dolled up as Angelyne, a mysterious woman who adorned billboards in LA. Rossum transformed into the big-breasted, high-pitched voiced character. It’s truly incredible.
BRAVE NEW WORLD
Aldous Huxley‘s famous dystopian novel serves as the inspiration for this series. Alden Ehrenreich leads the sensual, provocative adaptation that will leave you breathless. Lucky for us, it premieres when the platform launches.
THE CAPTURE
The Capture debuted for UK audiences last year on BBC One, now American consumers will be able to watch it on Peacock. The 14-episode conspiracy thriller will be an easy binge, and we can’t wait to view it.
IN DEEP WITH RYAN LOCHTE
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Ryan Lochte and other Olympians were at the center of a scandal when they lied about being mugged. Since then, the swimmer has tried to rebuild his reputation and raise two children. In Deep With Ryan Lochte is a docu-series that follows his journey.
INTELLIGENCE
Similar to The Capture, Intelligence aired in the UK on SkyOne. But there is a good ‘ole American twist to this series: David Schwimmer of Friends fame is in it. He stars as an NSA agent who helps the UK government.
LOST SPEEDWAYS
Also premiering on launch day is the docu-series Lost Speedways. Dale Earnhardt Jr. hosts the show that will serve as an exciting addition to your watchlist.
QUEER AS FOLK REBOOT
Then there’s the forthcoming Queer As Folk reboot. Though it might be awhile before we get the LGBTQ hit back on our radar, a streaming launch wouldn’t be real without a little tease. Happy watching, PROVOKRs.
