PEAKY BLINDERS’ GOODBYE
The Gangster Drama Preps Its Final Blow Out

Sadly, Peaky Blinders fans, the iconic series is coming to an end. The always trending BBC-turned-Netflix show will wrap at the end of season 6, now in production.
The gangster drama, set in England, captures the 1900s gang culture’s grittiness, a crew that sews razor blades into their hats. But throughout five seasons, we’ve grown to love Peaky Blinders’ fearless, cutthroat leader, Tommy Shelby.
Played by Cillian Murphy (best known for his roles in Christopher Nolan films), Shelby is a gripping character created by Steven Knight. And even though the show is ending, Knight has promised not to kill the leader — which is impressive considering where season five left off.
“Dead? Never – he’s immortal,” he said.
That’s sparked rumors that a movie spin-off is in the works for Tommy Shelby. Um, yes, please! We will flock to our screens faster than you can say his name.
But the supporting cast of Peaky Blinders also made the show a success. (Otherwise, we would not have gotten those AMAZING sex scenes.) With the likes of Sophie Rundle, Paul Anderson, Helen McCroy, and many more in the main cast, we were never bored. We definitely won’t forget the slew of guest appearances from Tom Hardy, Anya-Taylor Joy, Sam Claflin, Adrien Brody, and more.
In all, this was indeed Cillian Murphy’s/Tommy Shelby’s show — even if Murphy doesn’t recognize his impact and what this show will leave behind.
“I think, at the moment, for sure, Tommy is the character that I’m most associated with,” he told Vulture. “And I’m very happy with the show. It represents a body of work that I’m very, very proud of. But where does he rank? I don’t know. I’m not too concerned about legacy.”
