He Is The Mandalorian + More Upcoming Roles

Pedro Pascal plays one of the most famous characters on streaming television right now — you might not even know it. The Chilean actor’s face is covered in his most significant role to date. He is The Mandalorian.

The Disney+ show takes place in the StarWars universe. In its second season right now, The Madalorian is one of the most-streamed series. And though we don’t often see his face, his talents don’t go unnoticed.

Pascal’s career, which began in 1999, has been full of TV appearances. The 45-year-old didn’t get his big break until 2014 when he starred as Oberyn Martell on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Unfortunately his character died in a brutal battle with the Mountain. The series launched so many careers, and despite holding recurring guest appearances on shows like The Good Wife, the epic fantasy drama took him to new levels.

From there, Pascal was cast in The Mentalist then as Javier Peña in Netflix’s Narcos. Pascal played the real-life DEA agent who investigated Pablo Escobar. The thrilling docudrama is made better by Pascal’s performance in the three-season series.

Pascal’s most monumental year thus far is likely 2019. He really came onto the scene fully formed with roles in Netflix’s ensemble action film Triple Frontier and, of course, The Mandalorian. But 2020 and beyond is looking even more packed for him.

You can catch Pascal in the upcoming release of Wonder Woman 1984. Now heading to HBO Max the same day it’s released in theaters, Pascal portrays villain Max Lord. If his skillful stunt choreography in his other credits is any sign, a battle of Pascal vs. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman is going to be one to see.

Along with that, first-look images and a trailer was dropped for the upcoming Netflix Original We Can Be Heroes. Pascal plays the lead who bands together a group of forgotten superheroes (think LavaGirl). We Can Be Heroes kicks off Netflix’s 2021 slate of original content. It also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, so there’s really no reason to not get the family together and watch.
