Well, the EPIX series Pennyworth provides us insight into the loyal butler’s past as he came to work for Bruce Wayne’s father. The binge-worthy series is in its second season, so catch up now.
Up and comer Jack Bannon takes on the lead role as he portrays Alfred as a former British Special Air Services member. And because we know you were wondering, Ben Aldridge — you might recognize him from Fleabag — plays the infamous Thomas Wayne.
Season one revolves around a kidnapping as Alfred finds himself tied up with the crime boss Jack Ripper. The enemies are using Alfred to get close to Thomas Wayne. As for season two, the series picks up where it left off, but we won’t spoil that if you’re just being introduced to this thrilling series.
The British production has everything you want: sex, drama and crime. The steamy relationships set this show apart from other Batman-inspired media, making it a series you have to see.
