Preview: The Americans

On March 7th, America’s favorite Soviet spies return for their fifth season on FX. And if these sizzling new trailers are any indication, it’s going to be a doozy. Picking up right where last season left off, Phillip and Elizabeth, while dodging the ever-closer and ever-the-wiser FBI agents (one of whom lives next door), have to convince their 16-year-old daughter, who is now privy to their real identities, that a little Soviet espionage ain’t so bad. And while a story about Russian operatives acting with impunity within our borders is suddenly a LOT scarier than it was a year ago, we’ll always have a hammer and sickle shaped place in our hearts for Phillip and Elizabeth.
