Sundance Now, the streaming service offshoot of the television channel (and Robert Redford-founded film festival), has picked up a new series from British television network Sky Atlantic.

Riviera is a sexy soap opera from the mind of Neil Jordan, the Academy Award-winning writer/director of The Crying Game, and creator of the infamously provocative Catholic church drama, The Borgias.

Julia Stiles stars as Georgina, an American art expert who becomes wary of shady dealings in the French Riviera following the mysterious death of her husband, Constantine, played by Anthony LaPagliaIwan Rheon (Inhumans) plays Constantine’s son with his cunning ex-wife, portrayed by Lena Olin. All is not as it seems in the French Riviera, and sex, violence, and all sorts of high-tension soapy drama inevitably ensue.

The show was originally created for European audiences, and the has already aired overseas, but, perhaps seeing the potential in its international cast, Riviera is being brought to American shores. Julia Stiles is an A-list star thanks to roles in blockbuster movies like The Bourne Identity and Silver Linings Playbook; and Iwan Rheon has become a household name thanks to his scene-stealing turn as the repugnant Ramsay Bolton on Game of Thrones.

American viewers will have the opportunity to binge-watch the whole series when it finally makes its Sundance Now debut on September 14.
