RYAN MURPHY’S HOLLYWOOD

Ryan Murphy is known for his ensemble casts, but he’s taking it to a whole new level with his upcoming Netflix series, Hollywood. Set in the post World War II era during the golden age of Tinseltown, the star-studded affair will make your jaw drop. It’s rumored to be loosely based on (though it seems rather close to) the sexual escapades and hustling of Scotty Bowers. Scotty Bowers ran sexual services out of his gas station, and it seems these five following characters will trade sex for fame in the upcoming series. Check out new images from Hollywood and its amazing cast:

DARREN CRISS

This isn’t Darren Criss’ first Ryan Murphy rodeo. He starred in the creator’s Glee, American Horror Story and The Assassination of Gianni Versace. He won an Emmy for the latter, and don’t be surprised if he wins another for his leading role in Hollywood.

DAVID CORENSWET

Though he didn’t have much air time in Ryan Murphy’s The Politician, David Corenswet played an important role. He starred as River, the source of much inspiration for Ben Platt’s character. The up-and-coming actor plays a member of Darren Criss’ crew. Tbh, that’s too much hotness to handle.

JEREMY POPE

Jeremy Pope is bringing his talents and good looks to the Netflix series. Pope hasn’t done much screen work with only one credit to his name, but you might recognize him from Broadway hits like Choir Boy and Ain’t Too Proud. Cross your fingers that he gets a chance to sing.

SAMARA WEAVING

Samara Weaving is not only gorgeous, but she has acting chops, too. The blonde beauty starred in the horror film Ready or Not, which served as her breakout role. We have a feeling she’ll be able to continue her successful streak as one of the main women in Hollywood.

LAURA HARRIER

You might recognize Laura Harrier from her performance on the soap opera One Life to Live or as Liz in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actress hasn’t had the chance to fully break into the industry, but with Ryan Murphy’s platform, we think this will be the one that takes her there.

 

 

 

The cast also features Jim Picking as Rock Hudson, Broadway dame Patti LuPone, celebrity royal Maude Apatow (daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann), Mighty Aphrodite actress Mira Sorvino and legend Rob Reiner. With such an amazing group, we can only expect the best from this cast of a thousand.
