Saweetie’s Sex: Unzipped
"Funniest, Filthiest, Furriest", Netflix
Saweetie is about to add another title to her list of accolades: TV host. It’s just been announced that the rapper will be the host of the new Netflix special Sex: Unzipped.
The show is a sex-positive comedy special, with appearances from Joel Kim Booster, Michelle Buteau, Romesh Ranganathan and Trixie Mattel, to name a few. There will also be appearances from sex experts Alexander Cheves, Emily Morse, Oloni, Stella Anna Sonnenbaum and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.
In a press release from Netflix, the streaming service stated that, along with the guests, the show will feature “a crew of sex-positive puppets who are representative of the broad spectrum of sex and sexualities that exist in real life to help address and describe some of the biggest myths, misconceptions, and experiences when it comes to sex and identity.”
According to Netflix, this will be the “funniest, filthiest, and furriest” comedy special. Coupled with the astronomical popularity of Netflix’s Sex Education, the sex-positive show geared towards young adults, it seems as if the streaming service is going all-in on the sex positivity movement. Hear, hear!
Saweetie will also have a hand in producing the show. She’s not content with dominating music and television, though; she has recently partnered with McDonald’s (yes, you read that right) to create the Saweetie Meal. The meal is made up of a Big Mac, a four-piece nugget, Tangy BBQ sauce, “Saweetie ‘n’ Sour Sauce and a Sprite. After the success of the BTS McDonald’s meal, I foresee a lot of stars working with the fast food brand in the future.
Music, TV, food – what will Saweetie conquer next? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, I’ll be not-so-patiently waiting for Sex: Unzipped.
Sex: Unzipped will be released worldwide October 26 on Netflix.
