SCI-FI STUNNER INVASION
Hold Onto Your Humanity on Apple+

This October Apple TV+’s newest Sci Fi Drama Invasion premiers on the streaming network.
The 10-part series, which stars Golshifteh Farahan (“Extraction”, “Paterson”), Firas Nassar (“Fauda”, “Between Heaven and Earth”), Shamier Anderson (“Stowaway”, “Wynonna Earp”), Sam Neill, Shioli Katsuna, and Tara Moayedi, is based on HG Wells’ War of the Worlds.

In this updated retelling we’re given a glimpse into the lives of several characters across the globe as they grapple with the seemingly ordinary chaos and mundanity of everyday life before the attack. As they try to make sense of the devastation that follows, they become aware that the series of events which led them to the present seems nothing short of miraculously predestined.

Each episode is based on a different character.
Invasion’s approach to its character-driven aliens invasion story is in a similar vein to the 2002 M. Night Shyamalan-directed Signs and the more recent 2016’s Amy Adams-led, Denis Villeneuve-directed Arrival.
The series marks Apple TV+’s continued expansion into the realm of Science Fiction content; a genre which the VOD service has few original series devoted to but is working on changing that with the upcoming series, as well as the Isaac Asimov-based Foundation series.

Invasion was created by Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Dark Phoenix”, “The Martian”) and David Weil (Amazon’s “Hunters”, “Solos”). The series is directed by Jakob Verbruggen (“The Alienist”, “London Spy”, “The Fall”) and produced in conjunction with Boat Rocker and Genre Films.
The 3-episode premiere arrives on October 22nd, 2021 and will be followed by weekly episodes dropping on Fridays for the seven remaining episodes.
