TVs and computers sizzled with some of the hottest performances PROVOKR saw this year. From priests getting it on and moms discovering their inner sex beast, there were lots of steamy characters to enjoy. Here are six performances that got us all hot and bothered:
JODIE COMER
If you’re looking for the hottest assassin in town, find Russian beauty Villanelle played by the oh-so-gorgeous Jodie Comer on BBC’s Killing Eve. Comer plays the aptly named villain with a coy, sexual prowess that makes us weak in the knees. Whether she’s sneaking into Eve’s (Sandra Oh) house or knocking out her enemies, Villanelle, and by extension Jodie Comer, is the sexiest, most compelling villain in recent years.
KATHRYN HAHN
Kathryn Hahn is perfectly cast in HBO’s Mrs. Fletcher. Hahn plays empty-nester, Eve Fletcher. Like many parents whose kids leave home, Eve takes up a hobby — and it’s not knitting. She starts exploring porn and sexual relationships, finally getting to know herself and her body. It’s a sexual awakening that is both steamy and funny, which is everything we could ask for and more.
ANDREW SCOTT
Andrew Scott’s character in Fleabag is called Hot Priest for a good reason. Hot Priest and Fleabag have a steamy (and some would say unholy) affair in the hit British show. It’s forbidden love and which makes the sex hotter and viewers crave it more. Phoebe Waller-Bridge‘s short-form series is easy to binge and leaves you wanting more.
CILLIAN MURPHY
Even when Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) isn’t having sex on Peaky Blinders, he’s still hot. His dominating presence and, let’s be honest, his overall physique causes us to feel… things. With six seasons of Peaky Blinders available on Netflix, we have just enough material to keep us satisfied — for now.
DEWANDA WISE
Season two of Spike Lee’s adaptation of his movie, She’s Gotta Have It, dropped on Netflix earlier this year. Protagonist Nola Darling has sex with everyone — man, woman, doesn’t matter. But, even more than that, she is a real, complex woman of color dealing with everyday problems. A confident, authentic woman is a sexy woman in our eyes.
MAGGIE Q
Kicking butt and taking names is what Hannah, on Designated Survivor, did best, but it’s even better because Maggie Q was in the role. The accomplished agent was hands down the sexiest part of the network hit, which is what made it so hard to see her gone in the most recent season. We’ll always remember her for her high-kicking badassery and drop-dead gorgeous figure.
