Victoria’s Secret decided to ring in the 2012 holiday season by having its models traipse through an ornate mansion wearing skimpy panties and bras.
The censors went crazy over this 2008 Calvin Klein perfume ad that features actress Eva Mendes writhing naked (complete with an exposed nipple) on a rumpled bed.
Subtlety was not the strong suit of this 2013 Mercedes-Benz commercial, which stars Kate Upton—sporting a tank top and pair of Daisy Dukes—who struts around and twirls her hair while a bunch of sexually-smitten college boys gives her car a bubble bath.
The animal-protection organization PETA created this ad—which advocates for vegetarianism by showing scantily-clad women using broccoli and asparagus in sexually suggestive ways—to air during the 2009 Super Bowl. It got punted by censors.
In 2005, the fast food chain Carl’s Jr. made its mark by airing this ad, which features Paris Hilton in spiky heels and skimpy bathing suit giving her car an erotically charged washing before taking a big bite out of a burger.
To promote Heat, her first fragrance, in 2010, Beyoncé flaunted her sexuality (as well as lots of side-boob) while sashaying around a smoky, red-lit set to the musical strains of “Fever.”
