SEXY SHADOW AND BONE
The Beating Of Your Heart Is The Only Sound?

If you’ve seen Netflix’s Shadow and Bone (based on Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha trilogy), then you know that it’s not a very provocative show–however, it does have some incredibly sexy moments. The series is based around the good-girl-falls-for-bad-guy trope and contains a significant love triangle, so it doesn’t disappoint when it comes to romance.
Towards the beginning of the show, heroine Alina Starkov, played by Jessie Mei Lee, is brought to The Darkling, otherwise known as General Alexander Kirigan, played by Ben Barnes. Though the scene itself isn’t very sexy, the connection between Alina and Alexander is instant. Alexander reveals to Alina that she is the Sun Summoner, meaning she can break the dreaded Fold. His revelation causes her to look at both herself and him differently.
In the fifth episode of the series, Alina and Alexander have grown closer. She learns that he possesses power just as she does, leading them to obtain an interest in each other. Neither acts on this sudden curiosity–until they share a long, passionate kiss in an empty room in the Little Palace. This scene is arguably the sexiest in the series.
While the chemistry between Alina and Alexander is palpable, nothing beats the sexual tension between Nina, played by Danielle Galligan, and Matthias, played by Calahan Skogman. Matthias hunts Grisha, magical folk, and Nina is a Grisha herself, to make a long story short. Their relationship starts as a chaotic one–neither of them trusts each other until they are forced to when their ship (that Matthias’s crew has kidnapped Nina and imprisoned her on) sinks. Nina and Matthias survive and make it back to shore together, all while throwing insults at each other. Not long after, Matthias begrudgingly lays next to Nina in bed–naked.
The series also follows The Crows, a trio consisting of Kaz Brekker, Inej Ghafa, and Jesper Fahey. While nothing directly happens between Kaz, played by Freddy Carter, and Inej, played by Amita Suman, I would argue that there is something there. It’s not necessarily the scene that is sexy for this one, but more so the way that Kaz tells Inej, “she’s not like you, no one is.” It proves his cold exterior has a soft spot for Inej and her abilities.
Perhaps the most apparent sexy scene happens between Jesper Fahey, Kit Young, and a Little Palace stableman. Jesper seduces the man into bed with his sultry eyes and quick wit. You have to watch this one to take it all in.
This last scene is a bonus scene for the top sex scenes in the show, simply because there’s some nudity. It occurs when Alina is brought to the castle for the first time, and they’re undressing her for her first royal bath–what a way to kick things off in her new home, right?
