SEXY, MASTERFUL SHAMELESS
The Sizzling Final Season is a Gallagher War!

If you were expecting a deeply sentimental final season for Showtime’s Shameless, then you better readjust your expectations. The Gallagher family is going out in the family’s true resilient style with a war against Chicago’s gentrifiers.
Frank (William H. Macy) leads that charge for his family after proclaiming that the Gallaghers once ruled everything. Lip (Jeremy Allen White), V (Shanola Hampton), and Kevin (Steve Howey) are taking the streets to sell weed and turn a profit. Debbie (Emma Kenney) continues her sexual escapades while Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Mickey (Noel Fisher) try married life. Season 11 taps into that pure Gallagher enthusiasm and we would expect nothing less.

Throughout its ten seasons so far, Shameless has created a chaotic utopia of escapism. It wasn’t a perfect place for the characters, but we always wanted it to be. Showrunner John Wells wrote and developed zany, unapologetic, and utterly human characters.

The series is also the sexiest. Everything felt raw, not manufactured, and it made it all seem so real. Could the characters and the sex they were having on-screen be something we could attain? (I mean, who wouldn’t strive for that?) We were also blessed with one of the best characters: Fiona Gallagher.

Though Emmy Rossum, who played Fiona, exited at the end of season 9, her legacy continued. In a series filled with selfish people, there needed to be one who faced everything. Fiona was more assertive in the end and never settled for anything. But her impressive juggling act in the early seasons is what made us love her. Her incredible sex scenes helped too. Fingers crossed, she returns to say goodbye one last time.

With Shameless wrapping up, we can’t help but remember its impact on our TV schedules. From bingeing the series for the umpteenth time to reliving our favorite moments and recommending it to our friends, Shameless has been a permanent fixture in our lives for ten years. What will we do without it?
