For the past few centuries Sherlock Holmes, the eponymous hero of Arthur Conan Doyle’s epic saga, has made some miraculous discoveries. But for all of his many years of sleuthing, Doyle’s character might have made his greatest discovery yet in Benedict Cumberbatch, the once relatively unknown actor that brought an unprecedented level of style, smarts, sophistication, and sexiness to the iconic role. He’s the best Holmes we’ve seen in years (and you don’t need to be a detective to figure it out).
Despite the attention carrying him away to greener pastures and bigger screens, Cumberbatch has surprisingly returned to Baker Street once more.
