As the weather heats up, so can the movies you watch. There is a variety of erotic films out in the cinematic repertoire, so how do you choose the best of the best? From movies to watch this spring break season to steamy international hits, here are some of the sexiest films you may not have seen:

SPRING BREAKERS

Four girls + Spring Break in Florida = your typical idea of the week-long break. But when you mix in robbery, everything seems a little more interesting. That’s the premise of this Harmony Korine drama starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine (yes, she is married to Harmony). The cult classic has all of the elements of a sexy drama, but it has enough driving plot to keep you interested.

SWIMMING POOL

The French do it best, at least when it comes to eroticism. Dubbed an “erotic thriller,” Swimming Pool follows author Sarah Morton (Charlotte Rampling) to the French countryside where her boss’ daughter Julie (Ludivine Sagnier) arrives and disrupts Sarah’s creativity. Julie sets out on a series of loud one-night-stands to which Sarah blocks out with earplugs. That is until her voyeuristic nature kicks in. This mystery sexcapade story will have you thinking about it long after you watch.

BEACH RATS

If you’ve never heard of Eliza Hittman, keep her on your radar and watch her sophomore feature film Beach Rats. The film stars up-and-comer Harris Dickinson as Frankie, a Brooklyn boy struggling to come into his own. He lives a double life by hiding his sexuality behind his girlfriend while he surfs the internet to meet up with older men for sex and drugs. It’s an emotional film full of self discovery and sexual exploration.

ORIGINAL SIN

Sure, lust is *technically* a sin, but that’s what makes it so great to watch. And a film can’t get hotter than one starring Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas. When they step off a boat into 19th century Cuba, the two wed after only knowing each other for the journey. The two have sex left and right, living out everyone’s sexual fantasies on screen.

THE LOVER

When a poor young French girl living in Vietnam meets a wealthy Chinese man, an instant connection is made that leads to a torrid affair. Everyday after school, the girl meets the man in a rented room where he takes his mistresses. When her parents find out about the escapade, they encourage the girl to continue in hopes he will pay of some of their debts. The coming-of-age story will reel you in and leave you satisfied.
