THAPPAD

Thappad is one of the few films to be released in theaters pre-COVID. Thankfully, Amazon picked it up, and you can watch it there. The drama follows Amrita (Taapsee Pannu), who questions her marriage after her husband slaps her at a party.

If you’re looking for a classic, check out the 2001 film Monsoon Wedding. The romantic comedy is centered around an arranged marriage in India as a stressed father attempts to make his daughter’s day special.
