When it comes to the Chrises in Hollywood, it seems one gets overlooked: Chris Pine. The talented LA native has been in the business since 2003. He has performed in a variety of films that span genres. Here are our favorites from Chris Pine:

I AM THE NIGHT

In this TNT series directed by Patty Jenkins, Pine plays a washed-up journalist who meets a teenager searching for her father. The girl has a growing suspicion that her father is the Black Dahlia killer. This gripping series is six episodes of pure thrills.

I Am The Night is available on Hulu.

WONDER WOMAN

Sure, Gal Gadot is the star of Wonder Woman, but Pine’s Steve Trevor is an integral part of the story. The romantic connection between the two characters is palpable and Pine is stellar.

Wonder Woman is available on HBO Max.

STAR TREK

In his first significant blockbuster role, Pine takes on the iconic role of Captain James T. Kirk to stop Romulan pirate Nero. Supported by a fabulous cast, Star Trek is an energetic film worth watching over and over.

Star Trek is available on HBO Max.

HELL OR HIGH WATER

To say Pine got robbed of an Oscar nomination for Hell or High Water is an understatement. The crime drama set in Texas is one of the few modern Westerns that holds up.

Hello Or High Water is available on Amazon Prime.

UNSTOPPABLE

In Unstoppable, Pine and Denzel Washington play two train technicians who have to stop a moving train barrelling toward civilization. The nearly one-setting thriller is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Unstoppable is available on HBO Max.

OUTLAW KING

Based on a true story, Pine plays Robert the Bruce, a Scotsman exiled by the English. He raised an army to defeat the occupying English soldiers.

Outlaw King is available on Netflix.

THE FINEST HOURS

In another film based on a true story, Pine plays a Bostonian Coast Guardsman who enlisted to help save people trapped on a boat off Cape Cod. The harrowing tale of action, history and romance has it all.

The Finest Hours is available on Disney+.
