STEAMY STREAMING: CHRISTIAN SLATER
Heathers, Dirty John, Mr. Robot +

Christian Slater is getting rave reviews for his performance as Daniel Broderick in Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story. (More on that later.) But the 50-year-old actor grew up playing the edgy, cool kid and complex romantic lead in some of our favorite films. Not to mention he has a roster of great TV shows. Hand-picked by PROVOKR, here are our favorite Christian Slater roles.
HEATHERS
It’s difficult to name a more iconic duo than Winona Ryder and Christian Slater in the 1988 cult classic Heathers. Slater plays the new kid in school, who has a bad-boy persona about him.
Heathers is available on Hulu.
TRUE ROMANCE
In this movie of things gone wrong Christian Slater falls in love with a prostitute, played by Patricia Arquette. When the couple escapes, Slater picks up a suitcase filled with cocaine and the mob soon follows them. Quentin Tarantino co-wrote the screenplay.
True Romance is available on Starz.
MR. ROBOT
Rami Malek may be the star of this USA show, but Christian Slater plays the mysterious Mr. Robot. This binge-worthy hacker series is compelling and worth the watch.
Mr. Robot is available to buy on Vudu.
PUMP UP THE VOLUME
Christian Slater’s most underrated role is in Pump Up The Volume. It isn’t available on streaming, but you can buy it. Slater plays a singer and radio host in an amazing role.
Pump Up The Volume is available to buy on Amazon.
VERY BAD THINGS
Christian Slater serves as the best man in this bachelor-party focused film. In it, a stripper ends up dead and the bride (Cameron Diaz) finds out. It’s a joyride for sure.
Very Bad Things is available on Starz.
INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE
Sure, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are the main characters in Interview with a Vampire, but Christian Slater also has an important role. He plays Malloy, the interviewer.
Interview with a Vampire is available to rent on Vudu.
