STEAMY STREAMING: GAME OF THRONES
8 Provocative Game Of Thrones Moments

We are about a week away from the season eight premiere of Game of Thrones. (We’re not freaking out! You’re freaking out!) The final season will prove to be an emotional one, which has us here at PROVOKR thinking about the standout moments and the most provocative scenes throughout its epic duration. So get comfortable and relive these crazy moments from the first seven seasons:
BRAN FALLING
It’s the moment that started it all. Poor, 10-year-old Bran didn’t know by climbing the tower he would find the king’s wife and her brother doing it doggy style. Who anticipated that really? And to top it all off, the last scene we see in the first episode is Jamie pushing Bran to his supposed (but not really) death.
CERSEI’S WALK OF SHAME
This was probably the one time we truly felt bad for Cersei. The High Sparrow forced her to atone for her sins by walking through the streets of King’s Landing naked. People threw all sorts of gross stuff at her and yelled “shame.” No one should have to go through that, but she gets her revenge later. (Yes, that’s on this list too).
WALKS THROUGH FIRE
Dany with her many titles is known for freeing people, but it looked like the Dothraki Khals were going to put her through the ringer. A Khaleesi is not supposed to leave the clan when their Khal dies. Instead, they just sit idly by in their own hut. Dany wasn’t about to let that happen though. She waits till her trial begins and burns the place down, literally, with all of the Khals in it. Of course she survives because of her dragon blood, and she emerges naked and victorious.
HODOR HOLDS THE DOOR
You know, this is still kind of confusing to understand, but it’s the first time we see Bran warg so hard that he bends time. Hodor comes out the hero by saving Bran and the crew. Ultimately Hodor dies, and all GoT fans wept. Though we only heard him say one word, we thought he was a pretty great dude.
ARYA KILLS WALDER FREY
You know who’s not a great dude? Walder Frey. We still hate him for the Red Wedding massacre, but leave it to Arya to strike off a kill on her list. And she did it with flare. She killed all of Frey’s sons and baked them into pot pies. She turns to him and slits his throat open. Later she takes his face as a faceless man and kills the rest of his men in the best cold open ever. Don’t mess with this woman.
CERSEI BLOWS UP THE SEPT
Remember that revenge I was talking about? Yeah, well here it is. Cersei takes a page from the Mad King’s book and uses wildfire to destroy her enemies in the sept. The only difference is she succeeded. She watches from the castle as it explodes with green fire.
TOMMEN’S DEATH
When his wife Margaery dies in the explosion, Tommen kills himself and lands in King’s Landing. The scene is poignant. There is no dialogue, and the only sounds heard are the of Tommen’s shoes hitting the concrete as he walks to the window and falls to his silent death. The still camera adds an extra dramatic layer as our jaws hit the floor.
JON SNOW’S TRUE LINEAGE
It’s the moment fans of the books waited to be confirmed since the show began. Bran’s wargs to the past showed us Jon is a Targaryean AND a Stark, born to Rhaegar and Ned’s sister Lyanna. This might complicate everything when Jon figures out he’s sleeping with his aunt. Let’s hope they address that problem in the very first episode of season eight.
