The small screen is heating up, so don’t look for any cool down time from the hot summer sun. Fan-favorite shows will return, but watch out for some new hits that you’ll want to add to your watchlist. Instead, turn to these shows to make the steamy season hotter:

BIG LITTLE LIES

It has been two years since we saw the fated fall down the stairs at a PTA get-together. The Monterey Five is back on HBO June 9, and we can’t wait to see the fallout from Perry’s death. Oh, and Meryl Streep is joining the cast. It’s shaping up to be a stellar season full of bigger lies.

THE HANDMAID’S TALE

June (Elisabeth Moss) is on her way to start a revolution in Gilead, and we are here for it. It’s honestly about time. We’ve been on the edge of our seats for two seasons, wanting June to take down the system from within. But to do so, she has to enlist some help. The Hulu hit returns June 5.

EUPHORIA

If you’re looking to take up a new show, look no further than Euphoria. The teen drama (but with of-age actors) stars Zendaya as a recovering drug addict seeking that same thrill of euphoria. She lands at a new school, where she takes a liking to a girl. But they aren’t the only ones in this multi-faceted show set on the violet glow of black lights. The HBO addition debuts June 16.

BLACK MIRROR

Netflix’s acclaimed anthological sci-fi drama Black Mirror is back June 5 to plant your worst technology nightmares in your brain. The show boasts an amazing cast, including Miley Cyrus and Anthony Mackie. There are only three episodes this season, but they’re sure to drive you absolutely nuts.

THE BLACK GODFATHER

Clarence Avant is the true quadruple threat. He has submerged himself into the worlds of music, TV, film and politics. He bridged gaps in social justice for black people in media and politics, and he has changed the world with him impeccable advice. A new Netflix documentary will show just how much he has done with the help of Barack Obama, Snoop Dogg, Lionel Ritchie and so many more. Avant really is the black godfather to all, and you can learn about him June 7 on Netflix.
