STEAMY STREAMING: SCI-FI
Westworld, Dark, Black Mirror and more!

Science-fiction has always had a stake in pop culture, and that is the case in streaming platforms. Sci-fi dramas bring in the viewership and reel people in with out-of-this-world plot. If you’re looking for a little variety in your streaming watchlist, check out these titles:
JESSICA JONES
Krysten Ritter is our title character in the Netflix hit. Jessica Jones rebuilds has a career change from Marvel superhero to private investigator — but she still kicks ass. Because Marvel will head to Disney’s new streaming platform, Netflix canceled the hit. But season three just dropped, so get to bingeing now.
STRANGER THINGS
It has been three years since Netflix debuted Stranger Things, and the world has not been the same. The kid stars — Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp — have been up to a lot in the show’s off season, but the series returns July 4. So take a weekend to refresh on what happened in the first two seasons.
WESTWORLD
We still have to wait a year for season three of HBO’s Westworld, but that gives us ample time to go back and rewatch. The dystopian-like series is known for developing crazy worlds and blowing people’s minds with crazy plot twists. It’s definitely worth watching over and over and over again.
DARK
Season two of Dark just premiered on Netflix, and it’s rumored to be renewed for a third season. The series is set in a German town where the disappearance of two children send the world into a storm of chaos. With a new season out fresh, you have no reason not to watch.
GOOD OMENS
David Tenent. Michael Sheen. Frances McDormand. Need we say more? The battle between good and evil is hashed out during the Armageddon. The knockout cast delivers a fun, dramatic tale on Amazon Prime.
THE EXPANSE
The Amazon Prime/Syfy drama has been hailed as one of the best sci-fi dramas on TV. The Expanse follows an intergalactic detective working within the scope of the war between Earth and Mars. It’s sexy and entertaining.
BLACK MIRROR
Black Mirror is a top-notch anthology series that virtually everyone has heard of. The Netflix show is capable of freaking anyone out about the unlimitness of technology. The most-recent series brought Miley Cyrus to the cast, but nothing can top that Star Trek-inspired episode.
LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS
If you want to feel accomplished, watch all of the first season of Love, Death & Robots in one sitting. It would take less time than watching the extended cut of a Lord of the Rings movie. The best part is each episode is a new story, so you’re watching 18 animated short films in that time. It’s pretty impressive.
