STEAMY STREAMING: TOM CRUISE

Tom Cruise is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. His 40-year career includes classic films, three Oscar nominations and six, soon to be eight, Mission: Impossible movies. His name is synonymous with stunt work and he has delivered some of the most iconic lines in cinema. In no particular order, here are our favorite roles of the legend Tom Cruise.

TOP GUN

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, Cruise will reprise his role as Maverick in Top Gun: Maverick in 2021. Fingers crossed that there’s another erotic volleyball scene.

RISKY BUSINESS

Cruise’s character in Risky Business is left alone by his parents for a crazy summer day. What does he do? He gets involved with a sex worker. It doesn’t get much hotter than that.

RAIN MAN

Cruise stars alongside Dustin Hoffman in this drama. Cruise finds out he has an estranged brother, an autistic savant who inherits $3 million from their father. They travel cross country to get the money.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT

The Mission: Impossible movies have gotten better as the franchise continues. It’s hard to find a series like that. The most recent, Fallout, is thrilling and the stunts are top-notch.

EDGE OF TOMORROW

If you like infinite time loop films, robots fighting in a dystopian world and Emily Blunt, Edge of Tomorrow is perfect.

THE OUTSIDERS

In one of his first roles, Cruise landed a spot in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders. He does an iconic backflip, but the perk of this movie is its fantastic ensemble.

VANILLA SKY

Cruise is at the center of a court case in this psychological thriller. He recounts what happened that lands him in prison. Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and Kurt Russell also star.

EYES WIDE SHUT

Toward the end of their marriage, Cruise and Nicole Kidman led this erotic thriller from Stanley Kubrick. Eyes Wide Shut was Kubrick’s last film, making it worth the watch.

MAGNOLIA

Tom Cruise is just one of many people in this Paul Thomas Anderson character study. As in most of PTA’s films, there is a twist you won’t see coming.

JERRY MAGUIRE

Show me the money! Cruise stars as a football agent who falls in love with Renee Zellweger. If you’re missing football, this should fill that void.
