STEAMY STREAMING: TWISTY MOVIES

We all know movies like Fight Club and The Sixth Sense as ones with major twists, but there are plenty of other flicks with plot twists that will leave your head spinning. We have a list of well-known twisty movies along with some ones you may not have seen:

THE PERFECTION

This Netflix Original hit the streaming platform this year and stars Get Out’s Allison Williams and Dear White People’s Logan Browning. So much happens in 90 minutes that you’ll keep going back to rewatch it. There’s a twist at every corner of this thrilling drama.

STRANGERS ON A TRAIN

Can two complete strangers actually get away with murder? That’s the question this 1951 Hitchcock film poses. (You can’t have a list about thrillers without including Hitchcock). Strangers On A Train ends with a literal bang, leaving you with that classic Hitchcockian feeling of “what the f–k just happened.” It’s available to rent on YouTube.

Chances are this movie’s ending has already been spoiled for you. Almost everyone knows whose head is in the infamous box. But a movie isn’t all about the ending; it’s about how you get there. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman lead the cast of Se7en, solidifying themselves as one of the best detective duos of all time. It’s available to rent on YouTube.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS

The most thrilling part of any arrest is the interrogation. As film watchers, we rarely see plots that revolve around the tension in interrogation rooms, but Bryan Singer’s The Usual Suspects takes us there. The whole film leaves you guessing with the whodunit plot, but it’s likely you won’t guess who actually did it. You can watch it on HBO.

THE COMFORT OF STRANGERS

This steamy film takes place in Venice, where a couple retreats to work on their relationship. They find themselves wrapped up in a sadistic plot that ends in the most unexpected way. We don’t want to give too much away, so just check it out on YouTube.
