Netflix’s Stranger Things
The Sci Fi Masterpiece

A throwback to the supernatural pop culture classics of the 1980s—think movies like Poltergeist and ET—Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder as a single-mom who’s trying to get to the bottom of the disappearance of a young boy in her Indiana hometown. The investigation leads to discoveries of top-secret government experiments, terrifying paranormal activity and a bizarre, powerful girl named Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who may hold the key to all the mysterious occurrences. “She’s scary because we don’t know exactly what she’s capable of,” says Matt Duff, one of Stranger Things’ showrunners, of Eleven. “There’s also this fear of, ‘She can do these things with her mind. What can she do to me?’”
The 8-episode series of Stranger Things debuts on Netflix on July 15.
