SUMMER PREVIEW
The 100, Euphoria, Falcon and Winter Soldier +

The doom and gloom of the current state of the world may have you down, so PROVOKR is here to brighten up your life with some summer TV shows to look forward to. Though production has halted for most shows, we will likely see some of our favorites return for the summer. So before you worry about your summer TV schedule, add these to your list of shows to watch out for in the warmer months:
THE 100
If we’re getting technical, The 100 comes out in the spring but it launches the summer schedule. The seventh season of the sci-fi drama will be its last. In fact, it concludes with a fitting 100 episodes. There’s no trailer yet, so not much is known. If you haven’t started this CW series, check it out on Netflix.
DEAR…
AppleTV+ is out to fill your need for docuseries with Dear… The series explores the biographies of iconic figures like Spike Lee, Oprah Winfrey, Aly Raisman, Big Bird and more. The catch is they are told through letters written by those who look up to them. The 10-episode series will give you a look into the lives of your favorite people and those affected by them.
LOVE, VICTOR
This Love, Simon follow-up series was removed from Disney+’s upcoming lineup and is now on Hulu’s slate. The change was made because of Love, Victor’s adult themes that will explore substance abuse, alcohol and sex. The series follows a different student, Victor (Michael Cimino), at Creekwood High School who seeks advice from Simon on navigating life as an LGBTQ student. To prepare for its June release, we recommend watching Love, Simon, which is available to rent on Amazon Prime. Watch the trailer for that here.
EUPHORIA
Production for season two of the smash hit Euphoria began just days before COVID-19 was classified as a pandemic. There’s no word on if Euphoria has halted production, but we’re holding out hope that Rue (Zendaya) and Jules (Hunter Schafer) will be back on our screens by August. The HBO series tells the story of a teenager who lives a life of addiction, showing the darker side of the teenage experience.
CURSED
Katherine Langford is leaving 13 Reasons Why behind and replacing it with the Netflix fantasy series Cursed. Langford, who stole the screen in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, stars as the sorceress Nimue. She encounters Arthur on his way to claim that sword in the stone. The show will offer a fresh narrative to a classic tale.
THE FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER
Even though Black Widow was delayed, we will still get our fill of the Marvel Cinematic Universe through Disney+. The streaming platform will premiere The Falcon and Winter Soldier starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. They will definitely kick ass and take names in honor of Captain America.

BRIDGERTON
Shonda Rhimes‘ first Netflix series is one you shouldn’t miss. The period drama takes place in the early 1800s in England. And what would an English drama be without a notable British actress? This time it’s none other than Julie Andrews. As more big names start to collaborate with streaming giants, your bingelist will continue to grow. Strap in PROVOKRs — it’s going to be a wild summer.
