Ten Days In The Valley
Kyra Sedgwick Returns in a Crime Thriller

Kyra Sedgwick is back! Five years after retiring from her hit TNT show The Closer (which has since gone on to enjoy continued success as Major Crimes, retooled with Mary McDonnell in the lead role), Sedgwick is returning to the small screen as a leading lady. Although she had a recurring role in the cop comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as well as sporadic film appearances, Ten Days in the Valley is Sedgwick’s triumphant comeback to intimate television drama.
The new ABC show follows Jane Sadler (Sedgwick), a television producer who works on a gritty and violent crime series, and is also a single mom with a bitter ex-husband. Her life is suddenly turned upside down by the shocking disappearance of her young daughter in the middle of the night! Who took her? For what purpose? Presumably, it will take “ten days” to find out.
Sedgwick is backed by a strong supporting cast, including the always-appealing Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Oz) as John Bird, the cop assigned to her case, and The Sisters Wachowski-favorite Kick Gurry (Sense8) as her ex-husband. The series also features a distinct psychological angle; as her series’ producer, Jane is shocked by the curious overlap between her show and her life. Her worlds are colliding and she’s caught in the middle of something far more dangerous than she can even imagine.
Ten Days in the Valley promises to be an epic nail-biter for fans of high-stakes drama. As for us? We’ll watch Kyra in anything. We’ve been in lust with this sleek blonde beauty ever since she was on a season 2 episode of Miami Vice way back in 1985.
Ten Days in the Valley premieres October 1 on ABC.
