THE BRITISH ARE COMING
The Best in Streaming From The UK

American TV has nothing on what’s coming from the UK. OK, we have Euphoria, but the British are producing some of the best shows out there. From crime shows to period dramas, there is a lot to love. Here are nine current shows to satisfy that British fetish:
KILLING EVE
Killing Eve was renewed for a fourth season before season three premiered. That’s good news for us because we’ll get to see more of the cat-and-mouse relationship between Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh. Unfortunately, we might be waiting until later in 2021 because COVID-19 delayed production.
CRIMINAL UK
The second season of Criminal UK dropped on Netflix this year, and the second season stars Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington. The first season featured famous British actor David Tennant. The interrogation series is one of the best, and it’s only four episodes. Binge it in one day.
THE CROWN
Ah, yes, The Crown. The Netflix Original has a revolving door of fantastic talent. With season four headed to the streamer soon, Emma Corrin is Princess Diana — and we get to see a replica of that iconic wedding dress. Helena Bonham Carter and Olivia Colman return.

BELGRAVIA
Epix debuted this 1800s period drama last April. The show has a Downton Abbey feel as the upper class of London lives their lives.
HIS DARK MATERIALS
HBO also renewed His Dark Materials, based on the books of the same name. With actors like Dafne Keen, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, this sci-fi/action series is a must-see. Filming for season two wrapped in time for a November release.
MARCELLA
We love seeing women in leading badass roles. In Marcella, Anna Friel plays the titular character, a detective who returns to her work after years away. Season three of the series hit Netflix in June, so that you can catch up now.

DOCTOR WHO
Doctor Who fans rejoice! The 13th season begins filming later this year, and Jodie Whittaker is back as the famous Doctor. The BBC hit has a cult following in its many years on the air. We can’t wait to see more.
GENTLEMAN JACK
If you were hoping the lesbian drama about Anne Lister (Suranne Jones) would return for season two, then your wish came true. Though filming is delayed, BBC One and HBO plan to bring back this steamy period drama.
PEAKY BLINDERS
We know you love Peaky Blinders. The sexy gangster drama has everything we love. While we wait for season six, we’re going to rewatch all of our favorite moments and episodes. Join us, PROVOKRs.
