APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE
The Cast of The L Word: Generation Q

It has been 10 long years since The L Word ended its run on Showtime. The Los Angeles-based lesbian series was monumental, bringing LGBTQ representation to television viewers. Now it’s returning to what may be a more tolerant society. A trailer is above for you to sample, but before you watch, let’s meet the cast of the reboot:
KATHERINE MOENNIG
Katherine Moennig is back as Shane McCutcheon, and her wild personality is still in full force. In The L Word she was the self-sabotager, so it will be interesting to see if her relationship skills have improved since Jenny’s death. We have a hunch that she hasn’t changed much, if at all. Her edginess is still there.

JENNIFER BEALS
Jennifer Beals’ Bette Porter opens the new trailer and she’s running for mayor of Los Angeles. That Yale education and ambition seem to have served her well. We have so many questions about Bette, for example, where are her two children? Is she still talking to Tina? Why did she move back from New York? It’s safe to say we can’t wait to catch up with her.

LEISHA HAILEY
Leisha Hailey plays Alice Pieszecki, the character that fans may be waiting to see most. There’s an interview where creator Ilene Chaiken shared that Alice went to prison for Jenny’s death. However, Chaiken also hinted Alice wasn’t guilty. So, Alice is free at the start of Generation Q. She’s now a talk show host. No matter what, maybe we will finally find out who really killed Jenny.

ROSANNY ZAYAS
Rosanny Zayas is a new character on our list. Like all the new additions, Zayas has few credits to her name and Generation Q is likely to jump start her career. She plays Sophie Suarez, a TV producer who guards her heart and puts others’ needs before her own. Maybe her character’s arc will include learning how to be a little more selfish to satisfy her needs.

JACQUELINE TOBONI
Jacqueline Toboni bursts onto the scene as Sarah Finley. Sarah has a skater haircut and rides a bike along the LA beaches. She exudes a free spirit vibe in the trailer and we can’t help but think she’d be a great match for Shane. Only time will tell.

ARIENNE MANDI
With mostly guest credits to her name, Arienne Mandi’s performance as Dani Nùñez will likely be her breakout role. Dani is a PR executive whose savviness gets her what she wants. We’re hoping that savviness is useful in the bedroom, too.

LEO SHENG
Leo Sheng is getting his break in a big way. The transgender activist has been open about his journey and hopefully he’ll bring some of that experience to his character. By the looks of the trailer, Leo’s character, Micah Lee, develops feelings for someone next door. That may be the groundwork for one sexy love story.

SEPIDEH MOAFI
Sepideh Moafi is the most experienced newcomer. Her credits include The Deuce, Falling Water and Notorious. Moafi rounds out the main cast as Gigi, though not much is known about her character. I guess they have to leave some things a mystery.
