The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Third Season
The Emmy-winning dramedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel took the world by storm after its first season. Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino wrote another funny, charismatic lead that you can’t help but root for in Midge Maisel, played by the stunning Rachel Brosnahan. Those who doubted the success of the Amazon series about a housewife who becomes a stand-up comic now are likely impressed because the series is heading into its third season.
Midge is finally going on tour — and with comic Shy Baldwin (Leroy McClain). By her side is her usual bunch of characters: her no-nonsense manager and loyal friend Susie Meyerson (Alex Bornstein); her protective but supportive father Abe Weissman (Tony Shalhoub); her ex-husband Joel (Michael Zegen); and her mom Rose (Marin Hinkle), who is even more affected by her daughter’s career.
As season three comes with a new plot, a new character steps onto the scene. Though we don’t know the role yet, we do know it will be filled by American Crime Story’s Sterling K. Brown. The actor will waltz his way onto the scene and fingers crossed that he is a love interest.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel only seems to gain steam with each passing season. With the Golden Globes around the corner, the series is poised to win even more awards. And it’s deserving because, well, it is quite marvelous.
