Among the long list of actors who should play James Bond, Tom Hiddleston brings sophisticated energy and the perk of being in the largest franchise to his name. The 39-year-old British actor has spent most of his 20-year career playing Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a supporting character. Now, he is taking the lead.

Loki is getting the series treatment at Disney+. The shapeshifting liar and thief will get an eponymous series that starts in Avengers’ critical scene: Endgame. You know, the one where Loki is escorted out in handcuffs by the Avengers then takes the tesseract and disappears? Yea, that iconic moment starts a whole new adventure.

After he vanishes, the tesseract takes him to TWA, where Owen Wilson, in a grey mustache, is waiting for him. On this weird planet, time moves slowly, and we have a feeling it will play an important role.

Hiddleston is only playing Loki right now, but we think that’s because his character will appear in more upcoming MCU works. Yes, I’m talking about Thor: Love and Thunder. Well, wouldn’t that be a shock? Loki is the master of evading death, and this is another prime example. Back in 2017 and right after his breakup with pop superstar Taylor Swift, Hiddleston told GQ his motivation to continue playing Loki.

“I’m getting up so I can do this job well,” he said. “I’m getting up to go for my run so I can play Loki as well as I can.”

But, Hiddleston, we would love to see you as the next Bond. Your metrosexual energy would be enough to wrangle any Bond girl (or, heck, guy). We need to see more of that GQ model energy on the big screen. In the meantime, we’ll curl up in a nice suit and watch Kong Skull Island for the millionth time.
