Netflix's Big Budget Sci-fi Thriller Is Buzzing
The producers of Netflix’s Dark are back already with a big, buzzing dystopian drama that will have you in front of your TV all day. Premiering February 19 on Netflix, Tribes of Europa will be a sure-fire hit for the streaming giant.
Tribes of Europa takes place in 2074 after a cyber war knocked out power and some civilization in 2029. (Hopefully this isn’t a premonition). After that, Europe was split into three tribes. In one of those are three siblings who serve as our main protagonists. Those three people inherit a cube that could hold the secrets to restoring life.
The trailer — watch it below — shows many sides to this life. Some live in extravagance, while others are left to fend for themselves in the ruins. There is fighting, sci-fi and, yes, sex in its 6-episode season.
The production value is high for Tribes of Europa. After the success of Dark and Babylon Berlin, it’s no surprise it has decided to take a risk on another German-language series. Though, it’s not all in German. So English audiences shouldn’t fear the subtitles. This is going to be an epic series you don’t want to miss.
