WHAT 2 WATCH THIS WEEKEND
8.6.21 Hit & Run, The L Word, The Prince+

Mr. Corman
Mr. Corman is an Apple TV+ original comedy series about fifth-grade teacher Josh Corman and his struggles concerning his life, career choice, and wellbeing. It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and will be released weekly (though the first three episodes stream this Friday!). The rest of the main cast includes Juno Temple, Debra Winger, Shannon Woodward, and Arturo Castro.
Navarasa
Navarasa is a Netflix anthology series about the nine human emotions of the Indian aesthetic theory. It stars Suriya, Prayaga Martin, Vijay Sethupathi, and Shamna Kasim, to name a few. The buzz is positive, and the entire series drops on Friday, August 6.
Hit & Run
Netflix is keeping us busy this weekend, as action-crime-drama series Hit & Run streams this Friday as well. The series revolves around a happily married man whose life turns around when his wife dies in a hit-and-run, and he’s stuck desperately searching for the truth. We love action, crime, and drama, so this series seems like a win-win in our eyes.
The L Word
The L Word season two is on its way to us! After waiting anxiously since January 2020, it’s finally making its way back to our screens this Sunday on Showtime. It picks up right where it left off, so it’s a good idea to go back and refresh your memory since season one aired so long ago.
The White Lotus
The White Lotus is an American satire dramedy on HBO Max that premiered July 11, but it’s been such a hit that we feel it’s a crime if you haven’t been watching it. It’s set at a tropical resort and follows various guests and employees at the resort. Its stars include Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, and Sydney Sweeney. Talk about a star-studded cast!
The Prince
The Prince is an animated sitcom starring the royal family on HBO Max. Some would say that it’s a mix of Family Guy and Big Mouth, and because of that and the fact that young Prince George is the main character, it’s a very controversial show. Some actors voicing the characters include Gary Janetti, Sophie Turner, Orlando Bloom, Dan Stevens, and Alan Cumming. It premiered on July 29, but we’re watching it over and over. Who doesn’t love a good cartoon, right?
