Scenes From a Marriage
Scenes From a Marriage is a five-part limited series premiering on HBO Max on September 12. It stars Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac as a married couple and focuses on love, monogamy, desire, lust, hatred, and divorce through the lens of an American couple. It’s a modern adaptation of a Swedish series by the same name. And after seeing the pair on the red carpet for the series, I can’t wait to watch.
Being James Bond
Since the newest James Bond movie will be Daniel Craig’s last, Apple TV released Being James Bond to hype up the final film. It’s a documentary starring Daniel Craig and details his experience playing the iconic spy. It aired on September 7 and will be available until October 7, before the film’s release.
Lucifer
Lucifer season 6 premieres on September 10 on Netflix! This season is highly anticipated, and it’s apparent everyone is thanking the Netflix gods that revived the show after Fox pulled the plug in 2018. So if you haven’t watched the series, get to it! It’s an easy binge.
Kate
Kate is a new Netflix movie that premieres on September 10. The film is about a poisoned criminal operative, with 24 hours left to live. She then decides to spend her last hours seeking revenge on all of her opponents. That is until she meets one of her enemy’s daughters and forms a bond with her. Malignant HBO
James Wan, the director of Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring, has given us a brand new terrifying movie. Malignant is about a woman who discovers her shocking visions and scary dreams are becoming her reality. It will be in theaters on September 10, but it will also be available on HBO Max the same day!
9/11 Twenty Years Later: Women of Resilience
Hulu is releasing a 9/11 docu-series ahead of the twentieth anniversary of the tragic event. Here’s a summary, released from Hulu: “Anchored by Linsey Davis, this special features the dramatic stories of four inspiring women who survived trauma and loss on 9/11 to find purpose and peace after two decades. One is the first-ever female FDNY firefighter who, along with her fellow first responders, rushed to ground zero on 9/11. Another is a heroic Army colonel at the Pentagon who narrowly escaped death and saved several lives while jumping from the burning inferno. A mother and a widow share their stories of loss and redemption, ensuring their lost loved ones will never be forgotten.” The first episode is available to watch on Hulu now.
