The Power of the Dog, Money Heist, Harlem+

THE POWER OF THE DOG
OK, PROVOKRs, it’s time to start your weekend off with a bang. The Power of the Dog is this year’s hottest Oscar contender. It’s a western that follows a rancher (Benedict Cumberbatch) who instills fear in everyone around him. When his brother (Jesse Plemons) moves to the area with his wife (Kirsten Dunst) and son (Kodi Smit-McPhee), he psychologically tortures them. After a twelve-year hiatus, it may be Oscar-winning director Jane Campion’s best work and Cumberbatch and Dunst’s turn in stellar performances. You don’t want to miss it!
MONEY HEIST SEASON 5 PT. 2
If you’re looking for the perfect binge, Money Heist season 5 part 2 is the place to start. The series will come to an emotional end, and so will the world’s greatest burglary. Unfortunately, not everyone will make it out alive, but let’s hope some of our favorite characters do. Ahead, Money Heist is leaving Spain, and a Korean version is on the way.
COBALT BLUE
Speaking of international Netflix projects, Cobalt Blue will captivate you and steal your heart. Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Sachin Kundalkar, Cobalt Blue is the story of two men in India who fall in love. The LGBTQ story is full of forbidden romance and devastating heartbreak.
PEN15 SEASON 2.5
Sadly, another series is coming to an end — Hulu’s Pen15. The comedy follows two teenage girls and their struggles with the twist that grown adults play the teenagers. It’s part of the allure. With it coming to an end, now is the perfect time to binge it all.
HARLEM
It’s a light week TV-wise, PROVOKRs, but that doesn’t mean the quality isn’t superior. There is a new series that everyone will be discussing. Amazon Prime’s Harlem tracks a group of four friends after college graduation. What’s better than four single women ready to take on the world? It looks hot, sweet, and funny — a genuine triple threat. Whoopi Goldberg plays a recurring character, so it’s bound to be good.
