It’s that time, ladies and gentlemen when we share what’s on our list for this weekend. Read on to see which trends you should follow and what to spend your weekend binge-watching.
Untold
Untold is a Netflix five-part sports docuseries where athletes tell about the series of sporting events that changed their lives and shared their resiliencies and weaknesses. Each episode will take a deep dive into an athlete’s sports career, and they’ll share what happened to them beyond the headlines. The first episode was released on August 10, and it’s about the 2004 brawl during an NBA game between Pacers and Pistons, with never-before-seen footage. We’ll be tuning in this weekend and looking forward to the weekly episodes.
The Kissing Booth 3
After the success of The Kissing Booth, Netflix released The Kissing Booth 2 last year and will release The Kissing Booth 3 this year. It follows Elle and Noah’s relationship as it continues to evolve. Good news: it’s available on Netflix on August 11! Safe to say, we’re watching all of the movies ASAP.
Riverdale: Season 5
Riverdale season 5 will continue on August 11. After nearly a three-month hiatus, Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead are finally back in action. But, of course, we’ll be binge-watching this one all weekend long–and rewatching old episodes.
What If
What If is an anthology series that revolves around the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s about the possibilities of what could be rather than what was. It’ll be exclusively streaming on Disney+ beginning August 11, and episodes drop weekly. Also note, that it was Chadwick Boseman’s last project as Black Panther before his passing. It’s great to watch if you feel like you need more MCU in your life.
Beckett
Beckett is a thriller starring John David Washington as an American tourist in Greece. He becomes the search target after an accidental event. Netflix releases it on August 13. I’ll watch the movie immediately upon the release.
Modern Love: Season 2
Modern Love is back for a second season! The anthology series explores love in all of its forms and human connections. It has a star-studded cast (Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel, Tina Fey, Alicia Vikander, Lucy Boynton, Kit Harrington), so we know season two is about to be better than ever. Mark your calendars for August 13 and the season premiere on Amazon Prime!
