WHAT 2 WATCH This Weeknd
9.17.21 The Lost Symbol, Cry Macho+

The Lost Symbol
The Lost Symbol is a new show premiering on Peacock based on the thriller novel of the same name by Dan Brown (The Da Vinci Code). The series follows Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, played by Ashley Zukerman. He solves mysterious puzzles to find his kidnapped mentor. But, during the process, he also uncovers a terrifying conspiracy. The show premieres on September 16 with weekly episodes. It should be an exciting weekend watch.
The Premise
The Premise is an anthology series created by none other than B.J. Novak. The series focuses on real-world issues and brings them to light through character storylines. The first two episodes drop on FX on Hulu on September 16—one on social justice and the other about guns—which means we’ll be watching both ASAP.
Sex Education
Sex Education is finally back! Season three premieres on Netflix on September 17. I plan on rewatching the first two seasons to have a refresher on where Otis, Maeve, and the rest of the gang left off. It’s been such a long time since the series first aired, and we’re so thrilled to have a fantastic show continue (without being canceled by Netflix! No shade, of course).
The Morning Show
The Morning Show is returning for a second season! It premieres on September 17 on Apple TV+. If you haven’t watched it, the show is an inside look at the people who bring viewers the news (broadcast journalists). The show has one of the best casts: Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carrell, and Billy Crudup, to name a few.
Cry Macho
Cry Macho is a brand new Clint Eastwood film (that he also stars in) that premieres on HBO Max on September 17. It’s a western described as the following:
“A one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder, in 1978, takes a job from an ex-boss to bring the man’s young son home and away from his alcoholic mum. Crossing rural Mexico on their way back to Texas, the unlikely pair faces an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman may find his own sense of redemption through teaching the boy what it means to be a good man.”
