Pretty Smart

Pretty Smart is an upcoming Netflix original sitcom about a girl who moves in with her sister and three roommates—except she’s nothing like the rest of them. They’re all bubbly and oblivious, and well, she’s not. The show stars Emily Osment as the main character, Chelsea, and since Hannah Montana and Young and Hungry are no longer airing, this is the perfect way for her to reappear on the big screen. Pretty Smart airs October 8, with all ten episodes available to watch.

15 Minutes of Shame

HBO Max is releasing a documentary, produced by Monica Lewinsky and Max Joseph (Catfish), that dives into the subject of cancel culture. Lewinsky considers herself one of the first to be affected by the practice early on because of how her reputation was ruined after the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. It airs on October 7, and it is most definitely on my watch list for the weekend.

Nancy Drew

Nancy Drew is a mystery series on The CW based on, you guessed it, the Nancy Drew books. The show is back for a third season, premiering October 8, so if you loved Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys, then this might be the show for you. You’ve got some catching up to do, but something tells me it is worth it.

The Equalizer

The Equalizer is a CBS remake of a mid-’80s series. It now stars Queen Latifah, and the second season is premiering on October 10. So if you haven’t had a chance to watch the first season, now is the time. Queen Latifah plays Robyn McCall, a woman who helps those who have nowhere else to turn. It’s an action-packed series and perfect for those who love intensity.

Black Widow

Though Black Widow has already been released, it premiered on Disney+ on October 6 for all subscribers. So for those of you who love Scarlett Johansson and can’t wait to watch one of the newest Marvel additions, go watch now!
