Scream, Batwoman, Eternals + Cheer+

CHEER
A lot has happened since the first season of Cheer dropped on Netflix in January 2020. However, the Navaro cheer team’s coach, Monica Aldama, hasn’t changed. Her demanding but compassionate coaching style is back on display for season two, where they try to address some of the controversies that happened off the mat over the last two years.
BRAZEN (NETFLIX)
If you’re looking for a thrill this weekend, look no further than the murder mystery Brazen. Starring Alyssa Milano, it follows an author (Milano) who finds her sister dead. She also uncovers her sister’s double-life as a cam girl for a female pimp. It has everything you could want and more in a mystery.
ETERNALS (DISNEY+)
If you didn’t catch Eternals when it played in theaters in November, then you’re in luck. Disney+ has put it on its platform. Steeped in ancient mythology, Eternals follows a group of near demigods who rid the world of monsters. And, of course, it sets up like four future MCU movies.
THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH (APPLE TV+)
Denzel Washington just picked up a Screen Actors Guild nomination for his leading performance in Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth. And now you can watch it from the comfort of your home. Streaming on AppleTV+, The Tragedy of Macbeth is an impressive black-and-white venture that adds some twists to classic Shakespeare.
BATWOMAN WINTER PREMIERE (THE CW)
Batwoman is back, and so is Javicia Leslie. The heroine is out to save the day in Gotham City with her crew. This season is poised to continue the action and drama. It airs Wednesdays on The CW.
SCREAM (THEATERS)
The fifth movie in the Scream franchise is supposed to provide a hard reset on the series. To do that, they bring back the surviving cast members to go one more round with Ghostface. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette have lived to see another day in the last four movies, but we have a feeling their time is up. So now it’s time to be introduced to a new cast of unlucky high schoolers, including Jenna Ortega and Dylan Minnette.
