THE TENDER BAR (AMAZON PRIME)

George Clooney directs Ben Affleck in one of the most heartfelt movies of the year with The Tender Bar. Affleck plays a bar owner where his nephew, Jr (played by Daniel Ranieri and Tye Sheridan), attaches himself to different father figures. The Amazon Prime Original should be at the top of your list this weekend.

EUPHORIA SEASON 2, EPISODE 1 (HBO MAX)

FINALLY! Euphoria is back. After the pandemic halted production, we were lucky to get two extended episodes last year to bridge seasons 1 and 2. Now, the season kicks off on January 9 on HBO Max. According to the trailer, it looks like Rue (Zendaya) and Jules (Hunter Schafer) have spent some time apart, and Nate (Jacob Elordi) is still up to his villainy.

SEARCH PARTY SEASON 5 (HBO MAX)

Search Party continues to be the sleeper hit of HBO Max — and now it’s coming to an end. Season 5 will wrap up the thrilling comedy. So, if Search Party is new to you, start with season 1 and catch up. You won’t be disappointed.

STAR WARS: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT (DISNEY+)

Just what the people asked for: another Star Wars spin-off. Hey, who can blame Disney+? The Mandalorian is one of the biggest shows on streaming channels. The Book of Boba Fett got off to a good start with its first episode, and we love living in this world as much as possible.

REBELDE (NETFLIX)

Netflix rebooted the Spanish series Rebelde, which ran in Mexico from 2004-06. It takes place at an elite boarding school where six students form a band. Many say it’s Elite meets High School Musical, and that’s an iconic duo.

THE CLEANING LADY (FOX + HULU)

In the age of streaming, it can be easy to forget about cable television. Well, if there’s one you should tune into weekly, it should be The Cleaning Lady. It centers on a Filipina mother who comes to the U.S. to save her son. But, when the health care system fails her, and she is forced into hiding, she has to fight her way back. It’s available to stream on Hulu the next day.
