THE LOST DAUGHTER (NETFLIX)

Maggie Gyllenhaal directs the adaptation of Elena Ferrante’s novel The Lost Daughter. Olivia Colman portrays the main character, Leda, whose liberation after her daughter moves to Canada takes her to Italy. However, after a series of events force her to reexamine her life choices as a mother, she becomes increasingly aware and anxious about the decisions she made. Dakota Johnson and Jesse Buckley also star in Gyllenhaal’s feature directorial debut.  This Netflix thriller is available to watch tonight on New Year’s Eve (December 31, 20210

 

 

DEATH TO 2021 (NETFLIX)

Continuing its tradition from last year, Netflix brought back Death to 2021. The hour-long special blends archival footage and scripted segments to bid the past year adieu. Hugh Grant, Joe Keery, Lucy Liu, and William Jackson Harper star with Laurence Fishbourne’s narration. Now streaming.

 

 

COBRA KAI SEASON 4 (NETFLIX)

The hit series Cobra Kai is back for season four. This year of the guilty pleasure has Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) teaming up to take down Kreese. It’s going to be one hell of a season.  Cobra Kai Season 4 hits Netflix on December 31.

 

 

THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE (HBO MAX)

Jessica Chastain wowed everyone with her performance in The Eyes of Tammy Faye — and luckily, its HBO premiere is this weekend. Her transformation into the televangelist is impressive, and with Andrew Garfield as her co-star, there is no reason not to watch.
