The Fast and Furious franchise follows the story of Dom Toretto, an automobile hijacker, pursued by an undercover cop, Brian O’Connor. He is tasked with finding information on a gang of car racing felons. These three featurettes for the latest film,  F9 (The Fast Saga and Fast & Furious 9), promote the upcoming sequel and showcase some of its behind-the-scenes action. A star-studded cast featuring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returns in F9 to feature a world that is off the hinges and entirely dominated by fast speed and chaos. In these three trailers, the cast shows off all the action.

The director of F9, Justin Lin, has produced some of the biggest shows and films of the last 20 years–including Magnum P.I., Warrior, Star Trek Beyond, and the Fast 6. Moreover, this latest addition to the “Fast” series highlights the skills of Daniel Casey, a writer who wrote the screenplay for the 2018 project, KIN. In these clips, we see car chases, intimate dialogue, and insane crashes. Rodriguez loves the action and admits that she would “love to be a part of [this world] for a long time.” One of the clips even features an interview with Cardi B, who eagerly joins the Fast and Furious franchise. Cardi B says she loves “playing such a powerful strong woman.” On set, a lot of these crashes are organized using giant “bombs.” Cars smash into each other, and explosions send vehicles flying. Vin Diesel, the film’s star, is shown crashing into oncoming cars. The chemistry these actors have is clear from these behind-the-set clips, and the action is addictive.

Vin and his cast have acted in films that include Hitman, Chronicles of Riddick, Guardians of the Galaxy, and even The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The energy around this series is potent. These clips give you a taste of the upcoming action. As the franchise faces, Vin and the late Paul Walker appear many times in the trailers and invite viewers to experience it all. The story is captivating and brings more to the table than just action through snappy dialogue and giant sets. The staged car crashes show off enhanced special effects that use hydraulics, crash dummies, cameras, and, of course, a plethora of cars.
