Beetlejuice is now on Broadway and nominated for 8 Tony awards and has been rumored to be coming back to movie theaters as Beetlejuice 2. Tim Burton, most recently said he doesn’t think it will happen. Both Tim Burton and Winona Ryder had been talking about a sequel for years. Maybe that’s for the best. Beetlejuice is the smartest, funniest and craziest horror/ family drama movie ever made. We would hate anything to interfere with the pure insanity of the original film.
If you are missing the Deetz family, the Maitlands or Betelgeuse himself, your wait is over. Get a fast paced visit back to the original film with a marvelously edited short video by Clara Darko. Tables are turned, as you return to the home of a recently deceased couple who are being harassed by an unbearable family who have bought their country house. The film was released in 1988, and the casting is Tim Burton genius including Michael Keaton (who only appears in just over 17 minutes in the film), Winona Ryder, Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin.
