PROVOKR is thrilled to sample an art form that means big money to movie industry moguls…the trailer! The “Golden Trailer Award” recognizes the industries’ best in the Hollywood promo business. PROVOKR offers this list with some of the best clips since 2010. Here are teasers that include Christopher Nolan, Terrence Mallick, George Clooney and more.

We begin with The Social Network, directed by David Fincher, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield with a script produced and written by Aaron Sorkin. The grittiness of this teleplay is absurdly brilliant, with a visual design that is unique and exciting. You need to see Eisenberg and Garfield in action in this one!

Next, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is a fast-paced trailer showcasing Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. This promo dares to impress with the performances that show off the precise choreography.

The next is from the blockbuster Gravity, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. The film is a mesh of mind-bending cinematography all set in the vastness of space.

Tree of Life is a thoughtful piece about family units. Brad Pitt stars and it revolves around the growth of the universe.

The Guardians of the Galaxy‘s playful trailer introduces the renegade star, Chris Pratt. James Gunn directs and the plot is similar to other Marvel movies with a stellar cast and vast set.

La La Land by Damien Chazelle is cinema avant-garde and dances into noir realism–it sets the tone with a colorful palette, intense lighting and a dreamy musical score. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling star.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is a cunning period melodrama. This clip shows off the film’s excitement and Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara‘s talents. Mara won an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Mad Max: Fury Road is another example of a feature that will send chills up viewers’ spines. It’s a Tom Hardy action-packed adventure that thrills with the enhanced special effects.

The Wolf of Wall Street explores the financial heartbeat and excitement of the stock market. It is about the greed that pushes brokers to commit crimes to achieve wealth. There is nothing too outrageous or lavish in the world of money, brokers and traders. The overall tone is exhilarating and frightening at the same time.  “Wolf” stars an A-list cast headed by Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Martin Scorsese.

American Sniper‘s amazing visuals and the fantastic cast, headlined by Bradley Cooper and directed by Clint Eastwood, consume the screen in this epic tale. Based on the true story of Chris Kyle, a Navy Seal who becomes one of the most lethal snipers ever. American Sniper explores how war affects the human soul. After four tours of Iraq, Kyle’s return to civilian life proves impossible.

Task Force X, better known as the Suicide Squad, is an action-packed caper.  A super-secret government agency rounds up a group of incarcerated super-villains tasked with saving the world from the Apocalypse. The cast includes Will Smith, Viola Davis and Margot Robbie, who bring the characters from DC comics alive.

Boyhood is a coming-of-age tale and story of a boy from ages six to eighteen from director Richard Linklater. The filming included the same cast headlined by Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette and shot over 12 years.
