Chromatics’ seductive song
The Twin Peaks single casts a sexy Shadow
Originally released in 2015, Chromatics’ single, “Shadow,” is revived for the recent rebirth of creator David Lynch’s series, Twin Peaks: The Return, currently airing on Sundays on Showtime.
The dreamy, seductive, synth-heavy song, performed by Chromatics members Ruth Radelet, Adam Miller, Nat Walker, and Johnny Jewel, pays tribute to Julee Cruise, that Lynchonian chanteuse whose hit song, “Falling” not only went Gold but snagged a Grammy as well.
“Shadow,” and Chromatics’ wistful 2012 tune, “Cherry,” plus the “Twin Peaks Theme” by composer Angelo Badalamenti who scored both the early 90s hit TV show and the revamp, will be on the upcoming album, Twin Peaks (Music from the Limited Event Series), due out later this year.
