Human Human is a Candian band with a robust roster. Its electro-indie sound is enormously respected in the stratosphere of the genre. Songs like “Monuments,” “Run,” and “City” all create a vibe similar to other popular indie groups like Tame Impala and Passion Pit. They use upbeat piano chords and significant key-based music to make powerful ballads. “Lips” is a song from its 2014 album, Run. In this hot video, a man and woman hook up for 5-minutes appearing in open landscapes. The art design is modern, with few clothes amid exotic destinations. The shots and camera angles capture their bodies as we sink into this sexy music video with tons of kissing.

The video opens with a close-up of the two people lying in the grass—a montage of their faces and the footage’s locations flash on the screen. Then, we move on to several medium shots of them kissing each other. These shots develop into images of the two actors exploring each other’s bodies on land, grass, and water. Beautiful pictures of running water streaming over them add momentum to their hook up. Color correction highlights the green of the actors’ eyes alongside lush grass landscapes.

Kevin Calero and Zoe Pelchat are the directors, and their vision brings to life the vibrancy of young love. Their colors are radiant, and the soft palette looks almost like a LUT added to the color grid. The chorus “taste like sugar,” echos in the background to create a feeling of intimacy as the two lovers escape from reality to meld with one another.
