Machine Gun Kelly’s “Downfalls High” just released project is a 45-minute long steamy movie about a depressed teen’s life. Fenix, the teenager, hooks up with Scarlett and he becomes absorbed in her life and enamored of her. The duo combines efforts at school to fit in with the popular crowd. It includes drinking, partying, and living an R-rated life. They all play music or perform in elaborate setups. One is a surgery table where MGK is operated on while singing along with the chorus.

MGK’s first directing project centers around his Tickets to My Downfall album from last fall. MGK is the narrator, and the movie promotes debaucherous living–illustrated by car crashes, hospital visits, and late nights with friends, as it appears everyone is losing their minds. The movie targets a Gen-Z audience and features a couple, a group of friends partying together, tattoos, and rocking out at concerts.

Lyrics like “I’m sellin’ tickets to my downfall,” accompany banging guitar riffs and ignite an energetic atmosphere of angst. It also covers graduation and features MGK in an auditorium singing along to addictive lyrics like, “I miss you.” And, it all ends with a bang.

Graduation ends when a student loses it and cuts off an ear while on stage. Fenix performs despite the accident to create drama at the event.    The film strings together a series of music videos into one longer video. The actors are mostly TikTok personalities, and you may want to watch to decide what you think.
