Genius Nick Knights' short film for Equinox Hotels
For summer’s global launch, Equinox Hotels asked photography god and filmmaker Nick Knight to create a short film to bring to life the Equinox lifestyle. He chose legendary model Naomi Campbell to do just that. His film is full of energy, individual physical prowess and crazy funhouse lights and warped mirrors.
For more than 25 years, Equinox has built a fitness club empire and now enters the hotel business. In his film Nick Knight displays the three pillars of Equinox: movement, nutrition and regeneration. Knight said,”….I think about pushing the human experience and pushing boundaries, testing limits and who better to present this than Naomi Campbell. I wanted Naomi to have something to push against. A virtual version of herself and all that makes Naomi, Naomi.” She and Nick make a formidable team and it really shows in the work. Nick and Naomi really blow the lid off what we would think of a hotel launch presentation in the coolest way possible.
