Phoebe Bridgers is the queen of haunting indie rock. Her breathy voice, coupled with vivid lyrics, gives way to some of the best songs. Her imagery also leads to fantastic music videos. Check out our four favorites below.

FUNERAL

With this video’s simplicity, we can focus on the lyrics and captivating storytelling. It talks about the ghosts of depression. It also stays in the depth of feeling blue. Please take a moment to read the lyrics and sit with them for a while.

KILLER

The minimalism of “Killer” adds to its haunting quality. Bridgers’ voice sounds sweet with the backdrop of a piano, but the words she sings, coupled with a black-and-white landscape, give way to a subtle eeriness. “Sometimes I think I’m a killer/ Scared you in your house/ I even scared myself by talking/ About Dahmer on your couch,” she sings.

MOTION SICKNESS

It only makes sense that Phoebe Bridgers would continuously be on the move in her video for “Motion Sickness.” The colors and movement featured in the video are spectacular.

I KNOW THE END

Of all her videos, we particularly love “I Know The End.” In it, she starts in a tub and then reveals she’s wearing a skeleton onesie. Completely iconic. It is spooky imagery that you have to see for yourself. Enjoy, PROVOKRs.
