Rolling Stones Adventure
An immersive experience at London’s Saatchi Gallery through Sept. 4

The first major exhibition of Rolling Stones arcana is up at London’s Saatchi Gallery through Sept. 4. Titled Exhibitionism, the show fills nine gallery spaces and includes a “guitar room” and an area dedicated to recreating the band’s “about to go on stage” experience. Covering the Stones’ 54 year history, the exhibit also features the band’s fashions, rare audio tracks, stage props, unseen video clips and artworks. As Mick Jagger revealed about the show, which was three years in the making and will eventually travel abroad to cities like New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo, “We’ve been thinking about it for quite a long time but wanted it to be just right and on a large scale just like planning our touring concert productions. I think right now it’s an interesting time to do it.” Added Keith Richards, “While this is about the Rolling Stones, it’s not necessarily just about the members of the band. It’s also about all the paraphernalia and technology associated with a band, as well as the instruments that have passed through our hands over the years, that will make the exhibition really interesting.”
