Celebrating the art of Jean-Paul Goude

If you’re not familiar with the name Jean-Paul Goude, the first thing you should know is that he’s the man who took that Paper magazine cover shot of Kim Kardashian with a champagne glass perched on her derriere. Goude has made a 40-year career out of creating sensational images as a photographer, graphic designer, illustrator and advertising film director. He also worked closely with singer Grace Jones, helping her hone her image, directing her music videos, creating her album covers and even choreographing her live performances. This video—a promo for So Far So Goude, the Jean-Paul Goude exhibit at the Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea in Milan, sponsored by the luxury shoe brand Tod’s—delves into Goude’s biography and showcases some of his most compelling works of art.
